What is it Wednesday 5: That’s Peachy.
What Is It Wednesday is the day we reveal a product and its ingredient list and you guess what this “food product” is. Then I’ll share with you an option for making a healthy version of this product.
REALLY? Is this really necessary to even offer something such as this? A complete botch up of something truly divine.
What “food product” has these 6 ingredients ?
- natural flavor
- ascorbic acid
- acesulfame potassium
Really? Is there a need for this? When you can grab the real thing?
The package says “NO SUGAR ADDED” but yet they are sitting in artificially sweetened water ! So what am I missing about the “no sugar” part?
And what about the 50% few calories and 50% less sugar ? LESS THAN WHAT EXACTLY?
Can you “simply enjoy” a simple naked peach, and lose the plastic container? It would actually take more time to open the top of this container than to bite into the real thing. So again, what really is the point of this “unreal” product?
This is a poor impostor to the perfect peach.
What can you do instead?
Let’s not make this complicated.
If you want a peach, grab a naked peach. Bite it. Slice it. Dice it. Blend it.
Or use your divine imagination and this beautiful juicy fruit to enhance other food. To your plain greek yogurt, to your smoothie. Eat it along side a few cashews or cubed on top of morning oats.
Remember to keep it real. Keep it simple. Keep it naked.
