Alex says that connecting with the natural world offers a gateway into your own true nature. But to take full advantage of those wonderful properties, we need to commune mindfully, purposefully and regularly with the Earth.

(or even shorter if that still feels too long).
Setting a very tiny goal helps overcome the
brain’s resistance and a five-minute walk
will often effortlessly turn into eight or ten.
If it doesn’t, you still win!
Acknowledge and release your
lack of motivation, celebrate achieving
your tiny goal, and rest in a quiet outdoor
spot for a few minutes to “recharge”.
I took myself on a walk and Alex is so right about the magic of nature. This walk was particularly magical as I found myself on the “Fairy Garden Trail”, in South Mountain Reservation in Essex County New Jersey. The trail consists of 100’s of fairy houses hidden throughout the trees. Such a sweet surprise as you are walking along and come across these sweet little fairly homes.
