Workout Your Self Love Muscle

You know what happens when you stop going to the gym. When you stop working on your muscles, they shrink and go away.

The second you stop paying attention to your physical body and supporting it with the movement it needs to be strong, it gives you signs to call you back.


These signs could be in the form of aches, pains, or your clothes not fitting. Inevitably something will jar you to say “HOLY Crap, I feel like crap”.

You’d never think to look at your spouse or friend and say “I need you to make me feel like I have good posture, great bone density, strong muscles. You know that to get these things, you personally have to do the work.


Point made.

You also know this.


That you are never there. You can’t say, “I’m done exercising this body”. I’ve done it long enough. Nope. It is a practice and a process. There is no stopping.

Look at Jack LaLane. He said “Getting out of shape is like a thief in the night that sneaks up on you. I always tell people that it is never too late.” He exemplified the epitome of health and wellness with a body that served him well into his 90’s.

Let’s move on to the self love muscle.


How does one exercise that one?


Think of self love as a muscle that can grow with training and attention.

If you don’t pay attention, this muscle is brutal.

It’ll do all kinds of things to get you to listen.

The easiest of which is a simple feeling of blah. But there are many levels of pain that it will cause you. And it doesn’t discriminate on the area. It can affect your relationships, your career, your body.  A weak self love muscle can make it where nothing you search for outside of yourself will make you feel better.


Unless and until you pay some attention to this self love muscle, you’ll stay in some form of self inflicted pain.

Be grateful for the warning it gives you. And get started now being different.

Your self love muscle is doing it’s job by calling your attention to the matter. Asking for you come on back and keep building it.

And no, dear Gorgeous One, you can’t ever stop. You won’t ever get there.

You keep being with it. And just like the gym, it gets easier to show up, because the results are worth it.

You’ll feel happier. You’ll feel joyful, loving, peaceful, grateful. Powerful.

Just like your physical muscles and stature, no one outside yourself can do it for you. No one outside yourself can give you selflove.

It’s yourSelf that gets to do that. You have all the power you need already inside you. You have the power to be self loving.

Believe in YourSelf Again

Start Believing in Your Awesomeness

There is a reason you feel blah and disconnected. It’s because you don’t believe in your awesomeness. 

You’ve forgotten who you really are.  

Don’t beat yourSelf up over your forgetfulness. It happens. Day in and day out, you’re getting bombarded with situations and circumstances. Then you add on your perception of them and bam!

These situation and circumstances cause you to react based on limited ideas that were handed to you from childhood, learned in school and from society.

You may never have been taught that your reason for being here is to reach into your awesome brilliance and share it.  You may never have been taught that you can have, be or do whatever you want.

You may never have been taught that you should be doing what you love.  That doing what you love is the whole point. 

You’ve been set up with a set of limiting beliefs about what’s possible for you.

You’ve been set up to believe that things should feel just okay or nothing at all.  These things send you away from your center. These things make you forget who you really are.

Once I realized that my center was where it was at, I became power-filled.

And you can too.

This took me years and years of struggle to figure out. 

Now, I remember everyday and remind myself of who walks beside me and resides in me. ​I remind myself of that power that is greater than me that leads the way, when I let go and let “it” flow.

This is self love. 

This love of self is the best gift I can give to the world. Because honestly, I can’t do anything else better than just being me.

​I can’t do better than loving me. All parts of me.
​​
And that’s all it is. It’s just you being you.  The real you. ​

The world needs you to tap into your awesome and share it. Existing in “just okay” serves no one well.   Not you and definitely not the people you love. 

So step it up and s​tep  in.

3 Simple but Power-filled Daily Rituals That Work For Your Highest Good

Here are 3 simple but power-filled daily rituals that work FOR your highest good.

Morning. Noon. Nite.

Everyday.

That’s what makes a ritual. Rituals are ceremonial, tradition, custom, procedure, act, prescribed, set. You get the picture.


Being ritualistic about something you want to change is a good thing. Because it creates consistency. You can think of it like a new habit. 

Because it’s what you do most of the time that matters.

An easy way to remember and incorporate these 3 new ideas is to take one at each meal. 

Since you most likely already eat three square meals, morning, noon and nite, it will be an easy reminder. 

Three square practices. Morning. Noon. Night.

1. Morning. Glance. 

A glance in the mirror with a “hello Gorgeous” greeting to self. Come on! You can do this. Pick one thing that you like about your face and compliment that. Is it your gorgeous eyes, your lips, your skin, your hair? Say “Hello Gorgeous” and pretend (just for now) that you mean it.

2. Noon. Grace.

 

Take one minute to bless the beautiful food that you take into your beautiful body. Appreciate and acknowledge that you are choosing the best for today to nourish and treat yourself well. Say thank you.

3. Night. Gratitude.

Before closing your eyes and drifting off, take a moment to acknowledge and record in a journal the 5 things that you are grateful for from your amazing day. Don’t judge the size of the things. All things are appreciated.
